MARC “THE MARVELOUS TOY” ROSSIO

Marc RossioWhen Marc “The Marvelous Toy” Rossio left his job to become a stay-at-home dad, he found that his passion for music and entertaining his children could lead to entertaining all children. His first CD, Batteries Not Included, is secular children’s music. Then in 2005, Marc’s Judaic children’s music CD L’Chaim - To Life! was created—music for kids and the whole mishpacha. Several songs from the CD are being added to the URJ curriculum, while other songs are being used at many Jewish institutions. Marc’s high energy and humor has him busy touring different venues across North America. In four short years, he’s gone from birthday parties, to large concert venues to entertaining children and their parents. Currently, Marc is collaborating with a scholastic company to write a musical CD, book and DVD.

RABBI MORDECHAI DUBIN

Rabbi DubinRabbi Dubin is embarrassed when people refer to him as a singer or musician. “My singing and guitar playing are just average,” says Dubin, who’s been a rebbe of children for 28 years. Yet, parents and principals agree that Rabbi Dubin has an uncanny ability to touch a child’s neshama with his beautiful original songs and the message they convey. It wasn’t until last year that Dubin’s reputation began to spread throughout the country. As a result of winning the 2004 Milken Foundation Outstanding Jewish Educator Award, Rabbi Dubin produced his first CD: I Made This World for You (songs for Sefer Beresheit)—a huge success on both coasts. However, it was Rabbi Dubin’s song, “I Believe,” written for an educational conference in California,
that caused people around the world to lift up their eyes and say ”Wow!” Sam Glaser has magnificently arranged all of Dubin’s work, including his brand new CD, Let My People Go (songs for Sefer Shemot).

3. Parachute Express
Gotta Lotta Love

LYRICS

That’s my father
There’s my mother
Those are my sisters
And I’m their brother
That’s only part of my family tree
I got a lot of love surrounding me

I’ve got a lot
Gotta lotta love
Gotta lotta love surrounding me
Oh, how lucky can someone be
Gotta lotta love surrounding me

Now my mom’s brother
He’s my uncle
My dad’s sister
She’s my aunt
All of their children
Those are my cousins
If I try to be lonely
I just can’t

(Because) I’ve got a lot
Gotta lotta love
Gotta lotta love surrounding me
Oh, how lucky can someone be
Gotta lotta love surrounding me

Oh what a happy road I’m walking down
Loved ones light my way
I wanna sing about the joy I found
Every single day

My best friend
She’s my next door neighbor
She’s not my sister
But she might as well be
I’d like to believe
There was an Adam and Eve
That would make us one big family

Build A Sukkah

LYRICS

You get the boards, I’ll get some gourds
Put some leaves on the roof on top of 2 x 4’s...

Chorus:
Build a sukkah
(Everybody’s gonna) Build a sukkah
We’re gonna build a sukkah
Gonna live in it all week long

You get the popcorn, I’ll get the string,
When we build our sukkah yeah, we’ll dance and sing

Chorus

Shake your lulav to the ground
Shake your lulav in the air
You know you shake it north, you shake it south
You shake it east, you shake it west
God is everywhere

We sleep in our sukkah, see the stars up above
It makes us thankful for all God’s love

Soufganiot (Jelly Donuts)

LYRICS

Soufganiot, Soufganiot, Oh, how I love those Soufganiot.
Soufganiot, Soufganiot, Oh, how I love those Soufganiot.

Go into the kitchen, heat up the oil,
Wait until it’s ready to boil.
Roll up the dough, put the jelly in the middle,
Drop’em in the pot and listen to ‘em sizzle, those…

Soufganiot…

Some like ‘em hot, some like’em cold,
Nobody likes ‘em when they get too old.
Raspberry, strawberry, chocolate too,
Those Soufganiot are so good for you, those…

Soufganiot…

I love ‘em with my breakfast, I love ’em with my lunch,
Dinner time, snack time, I gobble up a bunch.
Only problem is, when I eat too many,
My tummy starts to hurt and I feel real funny those…

Soufganiot…
