Young Judaea Israel Programs
Young Judaea’s Israel Programs stir things up again this year with new programs for ages 15 – 35. On our Summer Programs in Israel, participants can choose from travel options including Spain, Italy, Morocco and Poland. Summer Programs in Israel is also proud to announce a brand new ecological program, Sviva, for teens interested in environmentalism. Te’amim (Flavors), another addition, highlights Israel’s diversity. For recent high school graduates, Young Judaea Year Course created a one-of-a-kind Business Track, focusing on the international business world with visits to India and China. Those interested in tikkun olam (social action) can seek it out during the all new Year Course program—volunteering in Ghana for 3 months. YJImpact! was ecstatic to announce WUJS’s move from the desert to the bustling centers of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. This six month program offers four tracks for young adults looking for a meaningful long-term opportunity in Israel.

Jewish National Fund
Over the past 107 years, the Jewish National Fund has grown from an organization that was known for its blue boxes and tree planting into a worldwide environmental leader that has become the central address for the land and people of Israel. Currently, JNF is helping to alleviate Israel’s water shortage by creating reservoirs and water recycling centers that are providing water to 1.5 million Israelis. Through JNF Operation Northern Renewal, it is restoring Israel’s forests and tourism hurt by the war with Hezbollah. Israel’s newest pioneers are being supported by JNF’s projects to develop the Negev Desert. The Blueprint Negev Campaign is creating new communities, employment opportunities, and revitalizing Negev towns in need. JNF is also building Israel’s largest indoor playground providing the children of Sderot with a secure place to have fun. JNF GoNeutral—An Environmental Movement of Tomorrow —is a campaign to educate individuals about their personal impact on the environment and empower them to take steps to curb climate change. JNF has received the approval of the Better Business Bureau and the highest four-star rating from Charity Navigator.

Alexander Muss High School in Israel
Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI) is dedicated to engaging teens to discover and embrace their connection to Israel’s history, culture and land through education, experiences, and understanding. AMHSI’s core program is non-denominational, pluralistic, and is designed for public school students. Whether students are looking to explore their heritage or interested in studying history and traveling, AMHSI offers these opportunities, while preparing students for college. The two-month program follows a 4000-year chronological curriculum using the land of Israel as a “living classroom.” AMHSI is fully accredited. Students receive full high school credit for their secular studies and are eligible for college credit as well. Additionally, AMHSI’s parent organization, Alexander Muss Institute for Israel Education (AMIIE), works with Jewish day schools and community groups to design programs according to each group’s unique educational goals.

Israeli Guide Dog Center for the Blind
This vital and humanitarian program provides independence, mobility, improved self-esteem and companionship for blind and visually impaired Israelis through the use of guide dogs. We breed, raise and train our puppies to become guide dogs that respond to Hebrew commands, instruct blind Israelis on their use, and provide aftercare services. Our primary need is to build more lifetime partnerships between blind Israelis and our guide dogs. What makes our program so vital for all blind Israelis—including victims of terror or diseases such as glaucoma and diabetes—is that with less than 30 days of instruction, they have their lives restored. Bar and Bat Mitzvah students are encouraged to sponsor a puppy for their Mitzvah Project. The cost of a sponsorship is just $500, and it includes all the costs of raising the pup during the first year. Mitzvah project students may request posters, DVDs, brochures and other support materials. Please call or e-mail us and be sure to look at our website. All of our services are provided free of charge. Please “Share our Vision.”
