K-Pop has made aliyah.
Gangnam Style, the musical hit from Korean rapper Psy, has come to Israel with a Jerusalem version.
The Israeli version of the catchy K-Pop tune, “Jerusalem Syndrome Gangnam Style,” debuted on YouTube yesterday and with just 13,000 hits, its still largely overshadowed by the original, which has 483 million views and counting.
But with cameos by Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat and video footage throughout the city—from the Machane Yehuda open market to the Old City walls, with various stops along the city’s new light rail system, it is sure to please.
