Moment Magazine-Karma Foundation Short Fiction Contest
Established in 2000, this prestigious international annual contest encourages writers of any faith to submit short fiction about a subject related to Judaism or Jewish culture or history. Judges have included Anita Diamant, Jonathan Safran Foer, Geraldine Brooks, Dara Horn, Judy Budnitz and others.
2009 Winners:

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons.
Second place: Judith Groudine Finkel for "Two by Four"
Judith Groudine Finkel’s short stories and personal narratives have appeared in literary journals, newspapers and magazines. Her novel Texas Justice, released in February, is available on Amazon.com. Third place: Amy Graubart Katz for "The Kiss"
Amy Graubert Katz has a bachelor’s degree in creative writing, a master’s degree in Jewish education and teaches both children and adults in the Portland Jewish community.
